How often are you wearing your CEO shoes?
March 13, 2023 • 9 MIN
How often do you wear your CEO hat in your business? It can be so easy, especially if your business is just you, or you and a small team, to get stuck in the detail of the day to day. Of dealing with what is right in front of you, of doing the doing. But if you think about CEOs, they don’t do a lot of the day to day doing, they get paid the big bucks to make the hard decisions, to be the visionary, to determine the strategy, to manage risk. When you don’t take the time to wear your CEO hat, it’s easy to lose sight of why you started your business in the first place, to feel directionless.

Do it now and let them grow and evolve with your business.
Does the behind the scenes of your business stress you out?
February 27, 2023 • 13 MIN
If you were to have a social post go viral and have a massive influx of people wanting to work with you, how would that make you feel? And how well would your business cope with that? If the behind the scenes of your business is a bit disorganised or messy, growing your business is not going to magically fix that. It will just create a bigger and messier mess, with more stress and frustration. So if the behind the scenes of your business is stressing you out, this episode is for you.
The direction you're moving in is more important than the pace you're moving at.
February 20, 2023 • 8 MIN
We all dream of the overnight success and big influx of cash into our business. But a business built on hustle and hard work alone will always require that to keep going. The majority of my clients have super successful businesses before they come to work with me. What they don't have, is the strong foundations to support and ground their business. They're so damn good at what they do, that making money is easy. They've spent the majority of their time working with clients, focusing on sales and marketing (which is of course crucial for a successful business). But getting things in place behind the scenes is an after thought. And as time goes on, things get complicated, messy, and unstable. And the longer you leave it, the worse it seems to be to fix.
What is sprint planning and how can we align it with our cycles?
February 13, 2023 • 10 MIN
Business is a marathon, not a sprint. You have to play the long game on strategy, there is no such thing as an overnight success. But at the same time, you do need to be moving forward, taking action, and sometimes the marathon analogy can make it feel like you don't achieve anything until you get to the very end...And without those wins you can lose motivation and momentum. One of the concepts I worked with in the corporate world was agile and sprints. Sprints are a short defined period of time, where you break down the end goal into small chunks that can be achieved inside that sprint, and so while you are focused on the end goal, you're also focused on making progress each and every sprint. Over the holiday period I realised that our cycles are perfect for implementing sprint planning. In this episode I'm sharing more about what sprint planning is, and how we can use it with a cyclical approach.
Is your business sustainable?
February 6, 2023 • 10 MIN
There are so many ways you can define a sustainable business. Sustainable income is crucial. This is where you want to look at your marketing and selling processes and make sure they working for you. And why is this important? So you don't burn yourself out in the pursuit of success. In this episode I am exploring some of the signs you're business isn't sustainable

December 6, 2022 • 10 MIN

What does success really look like?
November 14, 2022 • 14 MIN
I've been thinking a lot lately about how we measure success. I love data and metrics, and as valuable as all that stuff is, there are other ways we can define and measure success. It's been a common thread of previous episodes, both solo and with guests, about defining what your version of success looks like, not what everyone on the internet is telling you it should be or what it should look like. Because when you're working towards something that inspires and motivates you, that is creating the life and business you actually want, it feels a lot more exciting than a goal you're not truly aligned within or really give a shit about.

What Taylor Swift can teach us about business and launching
October 31, 2022 • 10 MIN
I've been feeling really disillusioned with the online business world lately. It started to feel like some massive business coaching pyramid scheme... no one seems to care about the impact they can have on the world, it's just how much money you can make. So I've been looking to other industries for inspiration in how they market and sell their products and services. Two of the industries I love and have looked to are music and movies. So it's been great timing to observe Taylor Swift launch her new album Midnights. And whether you love or hate her, you can't deny she's did an amazing job with this album launch. In this episode I share my key business and launching learnings from Taylor Swift.

October 24, 2022 • 13 MIN
There is so much to do when you run a business. Some of it you knew you were in for before you started out, other things take you by surprise. Add in all the things people all over the internet tell you that you have to do in order to have a successful business, the plethora of different platforms you could be on, all the different ways you can serve clients, market your business, and it can get pretty overwhelming quickly. In this episode I'm sharing some ways you can decide what is important for you and your business.

August 8, 2022 • 11 MIN
One of the biggest misconceptions I see and hear is the belief that you have to choose between having structure in your business and going with the flow. My question is - why not both? Key Points in this Episode: * Tracking the actions you're taking is one way to ensure you're actually doing the things you need to to reach your goals. * Your metrics will also help pin point where things might be going wrong, and whether you need to tweak and adjust your approach * Qualitative insight is important too! You need both. * Examples of non-business metrics - tracking your macros, charting your cycle, tracking how many times you workout * Examples of business metrics - each step of your funnel, your social media reach and engagement, list growth, email open and click through rates. Business tactics that make me go ughhhh
April 4, 2022 • 12 MIN
Now this is intended to be a bit of fun. But today I wanted to chat about some of things I see and experience online that are just plain ick! Now what makes my skin crawl might not seem so bad for you. Use the tactics and strategies that feel good and right for you. Your business, your rules. Also please remember that it's possible that in the past we have done things that we look back on and cringe. It's all a learning process, don't beat yourself up. Learn and move on. Business tactics I'm over: * Cold pitches, either in the DMs or via email * People who follow you and then randomly like a bunch of your posts in the hope you'll follow them back… * No ability to opt out of launch specific email sequences * Using shame tactics in marketing that make you feel bad about yourself * Lifestyle marketing aka look at how rich I am
Can you be too anti-hustle?
March 28, 2022 • 12 MIN
We've all seen those internet millionaires talking about how they only work 2 hours a day and still make oodles of cash each month. And I am not debating that they do, but…what you're seeing is not the whole picture. If you don't have a team, or maybe you have a VA for a few hours a week, or you outsource projects here and there, it might be easy to look at that and think how is that even possible? And that is what we're going to explore right now. Key points in this episode: You're not seeing the whole picture, the effort and work it took for them to get the foundations in place to build a business like this While the business owners might only work a few hours a week, they have a team supporting them behind the scenes to make this possible The anti-hustle movement has gone a little too far in glamorising working less and making more You get to build the business that you want, in the way that you want Come hang out on Instagram @businesswithflow Share the episode to your stories and tag me Wanna learn more about syncing your business with your cycle? Are you overcomplicating business?
March 21, 2022 • 9 MIN
I hear myself often telling my clients, start simple, get the foundations in place, and then add more. It's human nature to assume something we have never done is going to be hard, and I think at times this leads to the false assumption that it must be complicated. And when we haven't done something in our business before - maybe its create and launch a new program, set up your first evergreen funnel, run a webinar or 5 day experience, we often assume that we have to do all the things we see others in the online space doing. And then we make it really hard for ourselves, it becomes this big, scary, overwhelming thing. So we don't do it. We hold ourselves back. Or we try to do it end up burnout and frustrated because we think it needs to be this big thing with all the bells and whistles. Key points in this episode: * Trying to replicate someone else's strategy probably won't work for you * You need to build the foundations in your business to support sustainable growth * Business and launching can be simple * Take the simple and imperfect actions, find what works and what doesn't, and allow that to support your business growth Learn more about my program Launch with Flow at launchwithflow.com Come hang out on Instagram @businesswithflow Share the episode to your stories and tag me
Are you a prisoner to your to do list?
March 14, 2022 • 10 MIN
I remember when I first started working full time after I graduated from university. I prided myself on how efficient I was, how much work I could get done, and how quickly I could get it done. I was always asking for more work, more projects. I didn't realise it then, but I was trying to prove my worth by how efficient I was. I was looking for external validation, pats on the back, comments about how good I was. But I also got a high from ticking stuff off my to do list, I lived for that next hit, and like any drug, over time you need more and more just to get that same pleasure. It's any wonder I ended up with severe burnout! In this episode I'm sharing my journey from being a prisoner to my to do list, to creating space and freedom in my business. Key points in this episode: * Being busy for the sake of being busy is the path to burnout * Success comes from aligned action, not doing all the things * Working in harmony with your cycle supports periods of rest as well as periods of productivity * Its ok to let go of what isn't working Wanna learn more about syncing your business with your cycle? Reviewing your business? Here's what to consider.
February 28, 2022 • 11 MIN
Do you ever take the time to stop and review your business? What works? And what doesn't? Am I still working towards the right goals? Am I working on the right things that will take me towards those goals? Am I working as efficiently and effectively as I can? Do I have the right tools to support my business? In this episode I share the process I go through with both my own business, and my mentoring clients, to complete a business review. Key points of the episode: Your luteal phase is a great time for doing a review Identify the key areas of your business - content, clients, courses, financials, tools and apps Ask these questions: How much time and energy is this taking? February 7, 2022 • 12 MIN
Procrastination.... We all do it at different times and for different reasons. I love human behaviour and psychology. So I've recently been observing both myself and my clients and why it is that we procrastinate. And in this episode I share my insights. Key points in this episode: * Three reasons I have observed in myself and my clients are: ** lack of clarity ** lack of desire ** lack of belief * What you can do when you're procrastinating
You can be successful without the hustle!
January 31, 2022 • 8 MIN
A few years ago, hustling was the thing. Get up early, work late, be on all the platforms, do all things.... And then slowly some of us started to come to our senses and realise it was sustainable. Hustle culture leads to burnout, sacrifice (personal life, health), doing anything and everything, do whatever it takes mentality But you can have success in business without the hustle! Key points in this episode: Anti-hustle isn't anti-success, its about working smarter, not harder.... It's about doing the right work that is in alignment with reaching your goals You can be anti-hustle and: work hard be productive be focussed on your goals be successful and driven but we do it in a way that is more sustainable. Getting to know your cycle
January 24, 2022 • 12 MIN
We talk a lot about cycles around here. And one of the core components of understanding and applying the principles that I teach is getting to know your own cycle. We're all different and so are our cycles. Some women are very regular, others not so much, Some women have shorter cycles and some longer Some align with the moon, others don't Some women have challenging cycles, others less so Some women have natural cycles, other's don't So while understanding the theory of our hormones and cycles is great, getting to know your own cycle is how you can really start to embody cyclical living and business. And the way to do that is through tracking or charting your cycle. Key points of this episode: Why charting your cycle is important in embodying cyclical living and business The benefits of charting your cycle What markers can you add to your chart Different ways you can chart your cycle Links mentioned in this episode: Stasha Washburn's free charting mandala is available at https://theperiodcoach.com/etrc/
Sally Guthrie - How to free thyself from what is holding us back
January 17, 2022 • 31 MIN
In this episode I spoke with Sally Guthrie -  International Best Selling Author, Inspirational Speaker, Clinical Hypnotherapist, Advanced Rapid Transformational Therapist, and a PSYCH-K® Facilitator. Sally has been a client of mine for a few years now, and because of that I get a sneak peak into the amazing work that she does with women. Sally has a vast background in the study of the mind & human behaviour, from Yogic Philosophy, Neuroplasticity to Mind Mastery.    The premise of Sally’s transformative work and signature methods is to ‘Know Thyself’. "Understanding and realigning what is unconsciously playing out allows us to ditch the invisible rubber band that holds us back and to access the infinite possibilities available to us all".   Sally especially loves working with high functioning women that appear to have it all together on the outside but have one (or more) patterns/areas/issues that just aren’t working for them, holding them back from creating and living the life they desire. Key points of this episode: Sally's personal journey of coming home to herself Cultivating an awareness of beliefs and definitions that no longer serve us Letting go of the need to control Follow Sally at: Website: sallyguthrie.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/freethyself.co/ Found out more about Sally's program the Free Thyself Project at: https://sallyguthrie.kartra.com/page/FreeThyselfProject Get access to the free How to Trust in Uncertainty masterclass at: https://sallyguthrie.kartra.com/page/masterclass
Navigating the more challenging phases of our cycles
January 10, 2022 • 11 MIN
We all have a favourite phase of our cycle... The one where we feel the most comfortable and at home. For me that is follicular and ovulation. I'm good at planning, making things happen, rolling up my sleeves and getting things done. And we also have those phases of our cycles that we resist... The ones that don't feel comfortable or we struggle to embrace them. For me that is definitely luteal phase. Even though I know it's coming. Even though I know it's ok to slow down, to rest. I still resist it. I still beat myself up when one day I feel amazing, and a few days later that estrogen drop leaves me with a massive case of the CBFs. For me these are still the most difficult days of my cycle to navigate. Today I wanted to share my tips on leaning into the phases we resist the most. A reminder: if you have painful periods, severe PMS, mood swings, or other symptoms of hormonal imbalance, this is not normal. See your GP or naturopath and get support to balance your hormones. Things to explore and reflect on: 1 - What exactly is it that you're resisting? 2 - Are you setting unrealistic expectations on yourself? 3 - Do you need support or to learn new skills? 4 - What is it that you really need? Easing into 2022
January 3, 2022 • 15 MIN
There is a lot talk online at the moment about goal setting, intention setting, planning for 2022.... This is not going to be one of those episodes, well mostly not.... Before we get into today's content I want to remind you that there is no rush. You do not have to have 2022 planned out in detail within the first few days of January! For the last couple of years I have given myself the whole of January to ease into the new year. No rush, no pressure. A whole month gives me an entire cycle to review, align, plan and then start taking action. Key points in this episode: **Reflecting on 2021 *What rocked *What sucked *What did I learn *What would I do differently if I had a do-over **What do I want 2022 to look like? *Start, stop, keep doing? *How do I want to feel?
How to recover from a "failed" launch
December 27, 2021 • 8 MIN
When you have a launch that doesn't do as well as you'd hoped, it sucks! But, it happens to everyone. Trust me. You might see these big launches and success online, what you don't see is the first few launches these people had that barely made any money.... But if you give up after one sucky launch, you never take what you learned, and use it to improve the next one. And get better with each launch. And maybe one day reach the launch goals you have. Here are my tips for recovering from a failed launch: * Feel your feelings. * Do a review of your launch, even if it "failed" there will be some things that you can celebrate. * Also look at what didn't work, so you know what to tweak or adjust next time. * Set the intention to launch again. * Create a plan for your next launch that takes into account what you learnt from this, and moves you forward towards the next launch. * Get support where you need it.
Feel the fear and do it anyway?
December 20, 2021 • 8 MIN
Launching can be a very vulnerable and scary time. We put our heart and soul into something that we then put out into the world, and hope that others will love too. Just like artists or musicians, we put so much into what we create in our business, but the perceived success of it lies in the hands of others. And that can bring up a lot of stuff! Am I good enough? Do I know enough? Will people get value? In this episode we talk about: * How do we know we're ready to launch our course, program, or offer * When is the right time to launch? * Is it a case of feeling the fear and doing it anyway?
Launching: what you think you need vs what you actually need
December 13, 2021 • 14 MIN
When you observe the online course and coaching industry, it can seem like in order to have success in your launches, like the celebrity entrepreneurs, that we need to launch the way they do. And that is why a lot of people shy away from launching, because it seems like this big, overwhelming, complicated thing. And quite frankly the thought of it feels too much. But in this episode I want to share with you what you actually need to launch. And the good news is, it can be simple and easy! What you think you need for a successful launch 1 - A complicated funnel, with lots of upsells, downsells, daily emails, false scarcity 2 - To offer a zillion bonuses or addons to prove the worthiness of your program 3 - Paid ads 4 - A huge audience 5 - To be on all the social platforms 6 - To hustle What you actually need 1 - A product or service that solves a problem for your community 2 - To deliver a tonne of value, without worrying about giving away the good stuff for free 3 - A way to take money 4 - An engaged audience 5 - Mindset and energetic practices 6 - A launch plan
Launching with integrity
December 6, 2021 • 11 MIN
We've all see or been subjected to bro marketing, pushy, spammy, and down right gross tactics in the online business world. I'm sure we've also all had mentors and coaches suggest we sell in a certain way, use certain launch strategies that just didn't sit well. The thing is, any strategy can and will work for the right people under the right circumstances. But we also get to choose what we will and wont do. We get to choose what feels right for us, in alignment with our values. We get to choose how we run our business and launches. How do we launch with integrity? Be yourself, be authentic Sell and launch in a way that you'd want to be sold to! Be honest Experiment and learn from your mistakes
Launching without the overwhelm
November 29, 2021 • 10 MIN
For almost everything in life and business, the first time you do something is always the hardest. Because you have no clue what you're doing... And it can feel really overwhelming when you're in that sink or swim phase, until you learn how to keep afloat. Launching is exactly the same! You look around and see people on the internet doing it, and think well it can't be that hard... Until you launch for the first time and realise there is more to it than the internet tells you. And as time goes on, your launches get bigger and more elaborate, and with that can come even more overwhelm. So in this episode I wanted to share some of my favourite tips for launching (whether it's your 1st, 2nd or 10th) without the overwhelm. Key points in this episode: 1 - Set your launch goals 2 - Have a plan 3 - Get help with the things that are not your zone of genius 4 - Launch around you cycle! 5 - Prepare before you launch 6 - Focus on your energy
Launch Archetypes

I just find people so damn fascinating And I really freaking love personality quizzes and archetypes! So in this episode I wanted to share them with you. 1 - Last Minute Lucy 2 - Connector / Relationship Builder 3 - The Planner 4 - The Intuitive Launcher 5 - The Launch Celebrity Tune into the episode to hear more about these archetypes.
The three key phases of your launch
November 15, 2021 • 16 MIN
When most people think about a launch, they normally think of the main promotional period of their launch... But actually there are 3 key phases of your launch, and utilising the other 2 phases is what will make that promo period easier and more effective. Key points in this episode: 1 - The pre-launch phase is the most important phase of your launch. In this phase you get everything you need organised, you 2 - The promotional period of your launch - the more you've done in the pre-launch, the more you can focus your time and energy on connecting, engaging, and making sales 3 - The post launch period - review what worked and what didn't, so you can make your next launch even easier

Embracing my inner lazy girl
October 25, 2021 • 12 MIN
The world we currently live in doesn't accept laziness. It's seen as a bad thing, not something to aspire to. We live in a culture that glamourizes hustle and praises hard work. But in recent years I've been working to embrace the lazy part of myself. It hasn't been easy, she was buried pretty deep and hard to find thanks to all that conditioning and lifelong habits. But after burning out pretty bad, I knew embracing her had to become part of my life if I wanted to heal and not repeat the same patterns. Key points in this episode: * If your body or mind is tired, you need rest, especially in the luteal and menstrual phases! * You should never have to feel guilty about slowing down and resting, its a normal part of how our bodies work and communicate with us. * My tips for embracing your own inner lazy girl. * A reminder that we are cyclical beings - we have our 24 hour circadian rhythm and our monthly cyclical rhythm, both of which require rest!

Realigning my Business
October 11, 2021 • 14 MIN
The last few months have been a huge process of uplevelling for me. Back in episode 21 I talked about how to get out of a funk in your business. And that was really just the beginning. That feeling of being unmotivated and lacking clarity on where to go.... was leading me down the path... I could feel big changes were coming, but I didn't have full clarity on exactly what they were... I just knew that I had outgrown and was no longer in alignment with huge parts of my business. And it was really freaking scary, because although I knew what needed to go, I didn't have clarity on what was coming in its place. So in this episode I let you in on what changes are coming to my business and the podcast, and also chat about how I navigated this process over the last few months.
The journey to embracing your cyclical nature
October 4, 2021 • 14 MIN
Before I learnt about and embraced my cyclical nature I lived pretty much full time in the masculine energy of doing all the time. And it would be nice to think that as soon as I learnt about the power of my cycle things changes overnight. But we all know that's never the case. It was a process of unlearning, and re-learning. In fact 4 years on, I'm still always learning. In this episode I share my 5 key steps to embracing your cyclical nature.
Blending your intuition and systems
September 27, 2021 • 18 MIN
In this episode we explore how you can blend both your intuition and systems in your business. There's a common misconception that you have to to be one or the other, but actually there is a magical sweet spot where you can embrace both for different aspects of your business. If you're all vision and no action, nothing ever gets out into the world If you're all action and no vision, and you're busy creating things that aren't aligned to your goals and dreams, and it can feel like you're on a hamster wheel always running but never going anywhere.... Key points in this episode: * How to tap into your intuition and use it in your business * Why you need systems and how they make business easier * How to blend using your intuition to guide your direction and ideas, and systems to make it happen
Let's talk about productivity
September 20, 2021 • 16 MIN
This is not your average podcast about being productive. Because most advice out there falls short and prescribes what and how you must do things to be productive. And what's missing from most productivity advice is that its more than just being efficient and ticking things off your to do list. You want to be effective as well as efficient - working on the right things that are aligned with your goals and vision.

September 6, 2021 • 9 MIN
We hear a lot about consistency in the online business world. We have to email our lists consistently, post on SM consistently.... But here's the thing.... as women we are not made to be consistent! In this episode we chat about how to use your cycle to be consistent, without having to actually be consistent.
The shadow side of planning

For most of my life I was a complete control freak... I planned everything to the most minute detail as a way to control the outcome. I lived in fear that things wouldn't go to plan, and so I invested so much of my time and energy into trying to make sure it did. It wasn't just about the plan, but it was planning for all of the possible outcomes and if this happened then do this or if this happens then do that. I became paralysed by all the planning without taking much action... And it was freaking exhausting! And this is the shadow side of planning. When we use it as a means of control. So in today's episode I shared some of my journey of learning to let go of my addiction to control.

Intention, Alignment, Connection - Breaking down marketing buzz words
August 2, 2021 • 13 MIN
In today's episode I'm breaking down some of the marketing buzz words I've observed over the last while and what they mean. Intention, alignment, and connection are kind of big buzz words when it comes to women in the online business world. These words get sprinkled in SM captions, sales page copy, emails. And, somewhat ironically, I do wonder if people are being intentional with their use of these words or they're using them as fluff and filler without much meaning behind them.... So today I wanted to break down what they actually mean to ME, and why I use them in my content and copy. Key points in this episode: * Intention - being conscious and considered about the actions you take, the decisions you make, what you say yes to and what you say no to * Alignment - taking action that is in integrity with your values or is taking you towards your goals * Connection - building genuine relationships with your audience, engaging and having conversations
